new year, newborn!

Happy New Year! My first session of the year was on New Year's day, and it was so fitting to have it with a *new* baby! Little Vera is only 6 days old in these shots and is still growing into her skin (and clothes!) Her mom is a talented violinist and fabulous knitter, which explains some of the fun accessories in the photos.

Penelope's First Birthday

Penelope turned one a few weeks ago and I was there to capture all the fun at the party. Like most one year olds, she preferred the paper to the presents and loved her first taste of cake!

It is always so special to meet friends' new babies. And today was no exception. I loved meeting little Isaac! He is so alert and loves to look around and tries real hard to focus his little eyes. Welcome to the world sweet boy!

California Dreaming

I've been in California this past week and thought I'd share some of the lovely images I got there. My two favorite stops was the beach at Santa Monica (just look at those sunsets!) and a foggy day in Sonoma - the mountains were so mystical with the fog swirling around them.

Family Session in the Mountains

One day last weekend I drove up to the mountains and met one of the kindest, sweetest families ever. Since everyone was in town for Thanksgiving, it was the perfect time to get some fun family shots. I learned a lot about the Boston Red Socks, English bull dogs and windy country roads!

Family Session :: Nolan at 3 Months

Nolan is getting bigger since the last time I saw him! He's put on some adorable weight, smiles, holds his head up and loves to look at his mom and dad. This is one seriously cute, well-behaved baby!
