St. Luke's Shelter
St. Luke's shelter is in Northwest DC and is a six-bed, six-month transitional shelter for men, open 365 days a year that provides a safe, sober and structured environment, collaborative case management, and life skills training. I went there on a Saturday morning and took photos of some of the volunteers who make breakfast on Saturday mornings for the residents. Since 1991, their services and partnerships have helped more than 375 homeless men achieve their housing, employment, recovery and health goals.

Lifestyle Session in Glen Echo Park
I had such a fun morning walking around Glen Echo park with the Renfrew family this weekend! I had never been to the park before and loved all the old art deco buildings and there was a sweet playground with a padded ground (is that standard these days?!) where the kids could bounce and play. It was hard to keep up with these two little ones but I think we got some fun shots!

Baby Shower!
I went to a fun baby shower this weekend for my friend Annie. She is expecting a sweet little boy in December! It was a great shower with tasty breakfast treats (donuts, anyone?) and fun crafts, where all the girls made burp clothes and sewed cute fabric patterns on them.
Love that the mom-to-be had on the cutest red shoes!

Proposal Story: Elizabeth and Lee!
Last week, Lee asked me if I would secretly wait on top of the Kennedy Center while he and Elizabeth were inside listening to the NSO play Beethoven. He wanted this night to be captured with pictures. The Kennedy Center is special to both of them, as they have had several special dates there over the past year, making it Lee's venue choice for a marriage proposal. I was so honored to be there to capture this special moment for them and it was such a joy to see them so happy! Congratulations, to Elizabeth and Lee!
